Depending on your trip duration and location, it’s important to consider the size and paper type you will be taking with you.
My tip is to bring a pocket notebook, sticky notes, and your journal of choice. Optional materials would include a pocket stationery kit and some watercolors if you plan to paint while in transit.
Depending on your goals, you can keep many journals based on different topics, or have a catch-all journal for your daily musings.
I currently enjoy using a daily A6 journal, because it allows me to build the habit of writing a short update every evening for only 10 minutes.
Occasionally I will use an A5 journal to write highlights or things I am loving at the moment (mostly TV shows or films or a recent life update).
